Turkey and Accompaniments

  • 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
  • 2 cups stuffing
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 4 cups mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare the turkey by seasoning it with salt and pepper.
  • Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
  • Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  • Roast the turkey for 3 hours, removing the foil in the last 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook the mixed vegetables in a pot until tender.
  • In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, heavy cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  • Bake the pumpkin mixture in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Serve turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin dish.

Notes

Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving. Use fresh herbs for added flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste.
