  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the rice for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the diced onion and cook until translucent (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Stir in garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and soy sauce; mix well.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and cover, allowing the rice to simmer until liquid is absorbed (12-15 minutes).
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving warm.
