Ingredients
  

For the Kabobs

  • 1.5 pounds little potatoes adds a creamy texture
  • 1 large onion chopped into 1 ½ inch pieces
  • 1.5 pounds chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 pound smoked sausage sliced into 1-inch pieces

For the Marinade

  • 1 cup zesty Italian dressing adds a delicious tang
  • 2 tablespoons mustard contributes a hint of spice
  • 1 tablespoon Mrs. Dash or all-purpose seasoning elevates the flavors
  • 1.5 teaspoons pepper gives a subtle kick

Cooking Steps

  • Begin by parboiling the little potatoes for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
  • Cut the large onion into 1 ½ inch pieces.
  • Cut the smoked sausage into 1-inch slices.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the zesty Italian dressing, mustard, pepper, and Mrs. Dash. Pour this over the chicken and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.
  • Take the skewers and alternate marinated chicken, smoked sausage, onion pieces, and parboiled potatoes.
  • Preheat your grill to medium temperature, around 350°F.
  • Place the assembled kabobs on the grill. Turn them every 4-5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  • Once fully grilled, serve the kabobs immediately.

Notes

Ensure that the skewers are soaked in water if using wooden ones to prevent burning.
