Instructions

  • Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil (or melted butter), eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in Chocolate Chips: Use a rubber spatula to gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Pour into Loaf Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. If desired, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for decoration.
  • Bake: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool the Bread: Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Slice the bread and enjoy it warm or at room temperature. It pairs perfectly with coffee, tea, or a glass of milk.
