Ingredients
  

Berries

  • 255 g blackberries Freshly picked
  • 255 g blueberries Freshly picked
  • 255 g strawberries Freshly picked
  • 255 g raspberries Freshly picked

Other Ingredients

  • 700 g white granulated sugar Do not reduce amount
  • 60 ml lemon juice Freshly squeezed

Instructions
 

Sterilising the Jars

  • Sterilise the jars in hot soapy water, rinse well, and preheat the oven to 130 Degrees C (270 F). Place jars in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

Making the Jam

  • Place two small saucers in the freezer.
  • Wash and dry the berries. Cut blackberries in half and strawberries into quarters, leaving raspberries and blueberries whole.
  • Combine berries, sugar, and lemon juice in a large saucepan.
  • Turn heat to low, stirring until sugar dissolves (5-8 minutes).
  • Increase heat to a rolling boil and boil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Check for setting point after 15 minutes, adjusting boiling time as needed.
  • When ready, skim off any scum and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  • Ladle the jam into warm jars and seal with lids.

Notes

Ensure the fruit is fresh and of good quality for optimal results. Sterilising jars properly is crucial for preserving the jam. For a smoother consistency, consider using an immersion blender after cooking.
