- 1 large egg yolk room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 0.25 cup whole milk 57ml
- 0.5 cup oil canola, vegetable, or refined coconut – melted
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup freshly brewed coffee or freshly boiled water
- 8 ounces semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate coarsely chopped
- 1.5 cups unsalted butter room temperature
- 2.75 cups confectioner's sugar sifted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
