Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter can substitute with salted butter by reducing added salt
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar can substitute with dark brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips can use semi-sweet, dark, milk, white chocolate, or chopped chocolate bars
  • 0.5 cup Halloween Sprinkles use favorite Halloween sprinkles
  • 0.5 cup Candy Eyes use small or large candy eyes

Instructions
 

Making the Dough

  • Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  • Add in egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  • Add flour, salt, and baking soda; mix until just combined.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.

Chilling and Baking

  • Scoop 2 tablespoon balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Cover and chill in the fridge for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350℉; bake cookies for 11-13 minutes.
  • Add candy eyes immediately after removing from oven.

Notes

Chill dough for at least 1.5 hours for best results. Can chill up to 24 hours in advance.
