Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients

Chicken and Sauce

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped or whole
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 0.75 cups chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 0.25 cups butter
  • 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix e.g., Good Seasons

Pasta

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Start by greasing the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, then add the garlic cloves.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Whisk in the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken stock until well combined.
  • Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken in the crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the chicken to become tender.
  • Optionally, shred the chicken with forks about 30 minutes before the cooking time ends and continue cooking in the sauce.
  • Just before the chicken is done, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain well.
  • Serve the tender chicken and creamy sauce over the cooked angel hair pasta.
  • Sprinkle with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

For a more robust flavor, use roasted garlic. This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad. You can adjust the amount of Italian dressing mix to suit your taste.
