Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pitted fresh or frozen cherries thawed
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour for topping
  • cup brown sugar for topping
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter diced for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla until combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently. Fold in cherries.
  • For the topping, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly.
  • Fill muffin cups with batter and sprinkle topping evenly over each muffin.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
